Sunset last night in La Veta! Since photography is my passion and the clouds were grayish purple, I used a little artistic license. The sunset was not really spectacular but there were clouds so I seized the moment for a Purple Passion photo.
Our camper backs up to this lovely little creek and there is a path beside it. There is also a farm on the other side of the creek and although I thought I needed to simplify my photo I just could not crop out the sheep with their coats catching the last rays of the sun.
I added the frame in PS and did the usual in LR but then played with the HSL sliders for a more lavender purple. Ricky has a busy week planned so thought it best to submit before the adventure begins.

on August 3, 2019Beautiful scene. Like Ruth, my first thought was "purple mountains' majesty" -- is that West Peak? Also love the sheep.

on August 3, 2019Lovely scene and beautiful photo.
Just a thought----I wish there was a bit more lightness in the lower part of the photo. It feels a bit too dark.
