Well I drove about a 130 miles round trip to get this. When I arrived at the perfect location and got set up, it began to rain heavily. We have on average 251 days of sunlight where I live, and about 30 days of precipitation. Unfortunately, every time there is a major celestial event, we get rained out. I had about 2 minutes to set up and get this shot before the clouds returned. Sadly, that was the only chance I got. Ironically, the moment the moon peeked out from behind the clouds for good, was about 5 minutes before the end of the umbral eclipse. This photo was taken 6 minutes after the total eclipse ended.
